6' Half Log Fireplace Mantle, Amish crafted

Amish handcrafted custom log fireplace mantles, made in the USA.

Each 6' log mantle is a custom piece, all are unique. We start with a 10" dia. log, cutting a 8-9" flatspot, which is creates slightly more than half a log mantle. This allows the front of the mantle to round up, giving more character to each piece. We skip peel the outer edge of the mantle to give it a natural rustic look - however, on request we can clean peel the bark completely off the mantle. We supply two 3' long support logs. These are ready for you to trim according to your need. We would need the measurements of the studs you are going to attach the log supports. They are normally 38-40" center to center apart, and we custom scribe the support logs to fit properly beneath the mantle log. We Installation normally begins with the support logs trimmed to length. Then the supports are cut out enough to fit a 2x4 support & bolted or screwed into place onto a 2x4 stud. Then, you are able to put the stone facing onto the fireplace front, allowing the stone to go around the supports. Finally, the mantle to placed onto the supports, and screwed (some folks glue). We can also custom build mantles to meet your space and size requirements. We ship this set by motor freight, shipping weight is approx. 180 lbs. Please allow for 3 weeks for delivery.
